That moment in time when you know you are bored, you know you are not hungry, you know you don’t want the extra food that causes extra weight; yet you continue to eat. And yet you do it over and over again. Why is that? What is going on? What is it about the eating that has such a strong pull to override your thoughts? Understanding the why is key to dissipating that strong desire to eat when not hungry.
What is eating?
Eating is a repetitive action that you know how to do and it is always pleasurable in the moment. And it goes into every cell of your body to gives you energy. Yet it is a pathway of eating that is out of order if you are not hungry.
What if eating didn’t exist in that moment? You don’t need the food, so if it simply didn’t exist in that moment, what would you do? You need time to process to make a decision with your own thoughts as to what you will do in that moment. Would you believe that eventually the desire to eat will dissipate and you will not want to eat when you are not hungry?
